Genius of Soul is a 6 piece band that plays a unique blend of hip hop, down tempo, and funk soul.
Line-up iD-vocals, Bob Kostlan-bass,
Phil Garibotto-guitar, Tony Shmitt-drums,
OpenOptics-turntables,synth,samples,back-up vocals..

After spending countless hours in the studio
finishing our new full-length album, it was nice to
take a break and rock a great show. Everyones' energy contributed to one of the best shows we've played. Thank you to everyone that supports what we're doing and loves to get down.

Our set was just about every song from our upcoming album, 'A Project For The New American Century'. The (3) videos below are clips from two new songs, as well as a remix of 'Sleep Now', the title track from our last EP. At the end of Sleep Now you get to see a rare glimpse of OpenOptics and The Tony exchanging blows in a beat battle.
